The Indian 201 mph café in Lorne embraces past history and future with a collection of displays of vintage motor bikes that adorn the walls of the café and of course including the worlds famous 1942 WLA Indian Scout which was made famous in the movie “Worlds Fasted Indian” staring Anthony Hopkins. There is also a collection of videos, stories and memorabilia of a wonderful history dating back to the early 1920’s. It also celebrates the passion of the discerning bike riders across the globe.

The vintage bikes and stories have their prominent position at the Indian, though it is very easy to share those great distractions whilst in the exhilarating atmosphere of the café enjoying a light meal or a glass of wine, as you take in Lorne’s panoramic ocean views……you may even hear the thunder of motor bikes and may spot an Indian. The café is a tribute to the Indian motor bike, decorated in red and checkered plate giving it a funky museum feel.

The relaxed atmosphere and outdoor seating area overlooking the beach is inviting and comfortable. The café serves excellent coffee, has a comprehensive wine list and the signature Red Engine Groups affordable distinctive food.

Come and showcase your machine during a typical week-end gathering with a magnitude of the country’s signature bikes.
